This course is open to anyone that has completed the GSAR 1 through Rescue Training International since November 2020. Certificates must be current.

This course will begin at 0800 on day 1 stop for lunch at 1200, resume at 1300 to 1700. We will break for 1 hour and go through night scenarios until 2200. Day 2 is 0800 to 1700.
You will need compass, note pad, pen/pencil, hand held light source (Minimal 300 lumen), hiking stick, personal SAR pack with hydration, Hiking clothing and foot/ankle protection for varied and uneven terrain, if you have GMRS hand held radios or FRS radios bring them.
The GSAR 2 is a 2 day and night search function. From the start of class on day one, you will be assessing POD, assigning search areas, leading field searches, dealing with problems, as well as learning new search skills.
