DESCRIPTION:COURSE AVAILABILITY: Harris Co Constable Pct 6 \nCourse Instructor: Wesley Meyer \nPreregistration Required (10% late fee less than 14 days before class) \nCourse Description: This is a 16 hour course designed to begin the instructor process. We will cover instructor contracts\, rules and regulations\, course scheduling\, site selection\, EAP’s\, ordering materials\, sign off requirements\, skills test and practice sessions. \nUpon completion of the Instructor Training\, the candidate will then begin the required Apprentice Instructing and skills sign offs. These will be completed in no less than two classes per level and within a two year time frame. \nPrerequisite – Completion of the desired RTI you wish to teach\, submitted instructor application\, driving and criminal history check and completion of initial interview with RTI Chief or Master Instructor. \nCourse Format: Two eight hour days. Day 1 AM going over instructor contract and requirements. PM completes other pre course requirements. Day 2 is practice sessions and skills testing. \n** RULES: \n\nThere is absolutely no smoking or dipping at any time during this course.\n\nSTANDARDS: N/A \nPPE: Each student is required to provide their own Personal Protective Gear: \n\n PPE for the appropriate course\n\n  \nPhysical fitness requirements: Same as the course requirements \n \nAdditional course information will be emailed to each student registered.

DESCRIPTION:This two day instructor training is restricted to individuals that have successfully completed and hold a current FAST 1 rating through Rescue Training International. \nRegistrants will be required to submit an application and review several documents prior to the training dates. \nAfter the Instructor Training\, the Apprentice Instructor will be required to be assessed in no less than two FAST 1 courses within a two year time frame. Upon completion of the assesment process\, the applicant will complete a short Lead Instructor briefing before being cleared to teach classes as a Lead Instructor.
