September 22 - October 1 will be for those that want to camp in the mountains. Nine miles from town out in the forest. You must provide everything you want to have. Tents, RV's up to 5th wheel will have no trouble getting into the camp area. We can stay 14 days on Forest Service land (no charge). You can ride any OHV vehicle directly from camp. (You must have a Colorado State OHV Sticker). Campfires are normally allowed this time of year and we typically have one going at least every morning and night.
Community kitchen will be set up or you can cook your own. Fishing in lakes and streams nearby. If you have never experienced the wilderness like this, you are surely missing life.
October 1 - October 5 is normally the second wave of people coming up. Most of these are staying at Chinook Cabins and RV park in South Fork. If you want a cabin there, you need to make reservations soon. Our group is growing and we took most of the cabins and several RV slots. Their RV slots are full hook up.
