Private: US Lifeguard Assoc ONLY Instructor: Wesley Meyer, Chief Instructor RTI Location: New Braunfels, Texas The FAST 2 is a two day and two night course. Focal points of the FAST 2 are large scale SAR events, conducting search missions for water emergencies, body recovery in adverse conditions, advanced skills including shallow water options, anchors for rope systems, mechanical advantage systems, highline tyrolean with boat on tether, rope and basket system for Class III and above egress conditions, technical night training includes advanced tethered swimmer, searching adverse conditions, advanced strainer rescue. Second night training is mock search and rescue mission.
Private enrollment: US Life Guard Assoc Lead Instructor: Camille Meyer, Lead Instructor Class size: Limited to 24 Preregistration Required: (10% late fee less than 14 days before class) COURSE DESCRIPTION: 27 hour course covering Flood and Swiftwater rescue team ICS, safety, PPE, Haz Mat situations, site evaluations, hydrology, shore and in water rescue concepts and techniques along with tethered boat skills. PRIVATE Instructor: TBA Class size: Limited to 4 per available boat Preregistration Required: (10% late fee less than 14 days before class) COURSE DESCRIPTION: 16 hour course covering operations, safety, boat construction and orientation, maintenance and care, start up procedures, boat crew assignments, equipment, command and control driving skills, rescue and recovery concepts including along side, throw lines, drag lines, deployed swimmer and advanced tethered swimmer.
